Befriend your body: Reset, reconnect, realign
12:40 pm - 1:40 pm
Liina FLynn

When we speak to our bodies softly - and gently listen to the reply – the journey begins. Begin your journey of awareness into reconnecting with your body, thoughts and emotions through gentle movement and breath. Drawing on bodywork somatics, movement, asanas, mindfulness, meditation and breathing, you will make inner contact with your natural rhythms, steadily developing deepening confidence in the body and mind’s inherent capacity to balance and heal itself. Reset, stretch and strengthen your body as you retrain your brain and nervous system to let go of old habitual patterns of movement - and move toward a new state of wholeness.

Satyananda Yoga

The Satyananda System of Yoga is more than any practice. It is about cultivating self understanding that enables a more complete and creative way of living. It draws on the wisdom, teachings and classic texts of Hatha Yoga, Raja Yoga, Kriya Yoga, Karma Yoga, Jnana Yoga, Bhakti Yoga and others. Hundreds of books have been written in the tradition on various aspects of yoga, often as commentaries on the classic texts. Asana Pranayama Mudra Bandha, for example, is one of the most utilized textbooks in yoga teacher training across multiple yoga schools throughout the world. Wherever you are in life, yoga is capable of playing a role. Whether you are recovering from illness, seeking health and wellbeing, looking to manage stress, looking to make a fresh start in the way you live, or seeking to go deep into exploring and understanding life’s deeper mysteries, including knowing yourself, the Satyananda System of Yoga is designed to support you as you take up the challenges and opportunities of this journey.

Harmonising the masculine and feminine energies
2:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Meredith

Join me for what will be a dynamic interactive workshop delving into the fundamental concepts of the masculine and feminine energies. When I refer to the masculine and feminine energy I am not talking about the relationship between two people, or about our given gender. It’s about the two energies that are present within us all. Within the feminine energy the masculine is always present, and vice versa. The masculine/ feminine YIN / YANG …. SHIVA / SHAKTI ….are all longing to find union and harmony. Through interactive and embodied practices contained within the arts of Yoga and Tantra we explore different ways of bringing presence and awareness into the different qualities within these energies, feeling into where we may be deficient or excessive. Enabling us to become more aware in restoring and counterbalancing these energies within . When we find harmony within our Masculine and Feminine, we experience life as a dynamic whole. We are more able to move forward with clarity and a clearer vision, yet we are willing to trust and flow with whatever life brings us. This workshop is open to men and women.
