Narelle Andren & Emily McCarthy
Melting Pot Yoga
It has been quite a ride since Narelle Andren opened one of Coffs coast’s first yoga studios, Om Hot Yoga, in 2012.
In 2016 she teamed up with Emily McCarthy to co-creating Coffs Harbour’s premier movement studio, Melting Pot Yoga.
MPY is about community, it offers 29 classes per week, from slow flow, Power vinyasa, Jivamukti Yoga, Ashtanga, classical pilates to yin, each led by a variety of incredible teachers who really specialise in their field. Our classes are for all levels – we offer support for beginners and challenge for long time practitioners.
MPY also collaborates to host a variety of interesting workshops and programs throughout the year. We run several very popular local & international retreats hosted by members of our team.
Narelle Andren grew up on the beaches of Sawtell, a dedicated yogi, surfer, creative & mother to 3 beautiful souls. Having only discovered yoga at 40, meant developing a deep understanding of the benefits that yoga can bring to us all, no matter our age, lack of flexibility, our past or how far from our centre we find ourself.
Narelle is a registered E-RYT with a deep love of anatomy & alignment, her classes have developed over the past 12 years under the guidance of teachers such as, Duncan Peak, Simon Park, Ana Forrest, Maty Ezraty, Elena Brower, Rod Stryker, Gwen Williams, Tahl Rinsky & Bess Prescott. Her slow, intentional classes are accessible, deceptively challenging yet fun, leaving you feeling empowered & calm.
Emily has a long history in dance and movement is her life. Wellness, yoga and fur-babies are her deep passions. Beautifully blending both traditional and modern styles of yoga, Emily guides the practitioner toward a true alignment within themselves. Her classes are dynamic, fluid flowing, yet strong & intentional, she focuses toward intuitive moments, energetics and alignment.. Off the mat, she believes that yoga is the path to healing and transformation.
